Teaser Tuesday–The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle

First off, I just wanted to let my readers know why I’ve been absent for the past few days. It isn’t that I didn’t want to respond to any comments here on the blog, I just didn’t feel like it! On Friday I had all four wisdom teeth out. Even though all I’ve been doing is hanging out and relaxing in the recliner, I really wasn’t in the mood to hang out on the computer too much.  I promise I’ll get back to responding soon though!  I did complete two books and have three reviews to write now.  I was waiting till I came off the pain meds first haha.

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading. Pick a page and a couple of teaser sentences from that page to share.

I just finished this book and really enjoyed it. The Beginning of After made for a nice, relaxing, yet heart-wrenching read. I found myself wanting to know what would happen to Laurel in the end. Hopefully I will have the review written up in the next few days. In the meantime, check out this teaser!

The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle

“In the mornings, right when I woke up, I usually had about two seconds of feeling like everything was the same. I was in my bed in my room, and the light coming in from my blinds was the same light as always. Then I’d remember. And then I’d have to think of something to get me out of bed.”

  2. Hey Jenn! Healing hugs! I did mention that you were out from the meme for a reason on Friday's blog. I can't remember exactly what I said though at the moment. Good tease. I feel like that today. I think I will need to read this one.

As for mine I'll copy what I put on Should be Reading. That will say it all. LOL

I never get the 2 sentence thing and today I was really over it. Sorry but we are having a horrible autism day,(week really), at my house. Please forgive me. I forgot what exactly I was doing in between chasing, comforting and talking down from the ceiling my naked 4 year old. (yes he did a spiderman climb up the closet walls and then got stuck). I will try to follow rules next week.;) I am tired.

  7. Sounds like a sad book. I hope you feel better soon.

This week my teaser isnt a book I normally read. I dont like deep dark thinking books about social issues to much but I had to pick out The Help because of all the book buzz. So I read the The Help and that is my teaser and Review this Tuesday. Take care.
