Something about October makes me giddy! The leaves start to change. The weather cools down and the stores are overrun with Halloween decorations! Here are a few of my favorite autumn things…..
Bonfires

Apple Orchard
Every year we visit the local apple orchard. Where I spend entirely too much on the worlds best apple cider and apple cider dougnuts! There’s a store that offers cute decorations and scrumptious desserts.
Corn Maze
Yup, the corn maze is another yearly tradition! 98% of the time we never find our way out but then again we don’t really try. We’re too busy hiding in the corn and scaring each other!
Carving Pumpkins
There’s just something about having a lit pumpkin on the porch that makes me happy. I buy a bunch of pumpkins and then carve them up with my niece and nephew
Spook Hollow
I’ve gone to a lot of haunted houses but the one that’s always a must is called Spook Hollow. It’s set in the woods, which only makes it creepier. They build creepy looking houses that are tucked within the forest and stocked full of ghouls just waiting to scare the bajeezus out of you. Creepy stalkers follow you on the wooded paths and men withchainsaws jump out of nowhere. I’ve been going to this specific haunted
house/woods since I was a little girl. It just wouldn’t be Halloween without it!
Halloween Costumes
On Halloween my husband and I cuddle up on the couch and watch scary movies. I love answering the door and seeing the little kids dressed up. Most likely their dressed as witches, vampires or princess, but last year I answered the door to find a little boy dressed up like the character from Saw. It was one of the creepiest costumes I’d ever seen!
Halloween is totally awesome! I love everything about it! It's the time of year where I like to look at things that seem normal to me since I read so much UF and paranormal books!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season and I love Halloween. My birthday is a week before it. How many kids get to have birthday parties with costumes and decorating pumpkins? I still love to get dressed up.
ReplyDeleteYikes that would be freaky! The Saw movies are on my do-not-watch list.... ich...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE Halloween!!! v----v
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds really good, hope I get a chance to read it sometime!

ReplyDeleteHaving a birthday around Halloween would be awesome, Tracy! Happy belated/early Birthday! LOL.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Julie, i completely understand. I'm always anxious going to haunted houses but once i'm in them i remind myself they aren't really zombies or crazy murderers and just men in costumes, it helps!
Great review of the book crave!
